Rose Cottage, Treligga, Cornwall
Rose Cottage, Treligga, Cornwall

Location

Treligga is nestled between Post Isaac and Tintagel, less than a mile from the South West Coast Path.  Rock, Polzeath, Wadebridge and Boscastle are all within a short drive.  A bit further afield are Padstow, Newquay, Bodmin, Fowey and Bude.  The Eden Project, The Lost Gardens at Heligan and a number of National Trust properties including Lanhydrock House are all within easy reach for day trips.

Tregardock beach is easily within walking distance from the cottage.  It is a very secluded beach where dogs are allowed year round, although the access to the beach (down the rocks) is not for the faint hearted!  The village is as close as you can park to the beach and it is a 20 minute walk down, and a bit longer back home – especially if you are carrying buckets, spades, surfboards and/or children!

Trebarwith Strand (a hilly 3 miles) and Port Isaac – home of Doc Martin - (a very hilly 5 miles) are also accessible along the coast path.  The beach at Trebarwith Strand is manned by Lifeguards during the high season and is popular with families and for surfing.
